Set in a tiny village against the stunning backdrop of majestic snow-capped mountains, Hugi (Bjorn Thors) struggles to establish a sober and sane existence amidst a population of only 150. Hugi is a primary-school teacher who has come to this secluded town from Reykjavik hoping to heal from the wounds of his broken marriage, and escape hard city life. Here he can pass his summer holidays jogging, attending AA meetings, taking Portuguese lessons online and making a rather woeful attempt at a new relationship. When his estranged, hard-drinking father, Thorfinnur (charming actor-rocker Helgi Bjornsson) arrives he throws Hugi’s façade of balance into complete disarray resulting in a delightful comedy about manhood and the delicate relationship between a father and a son.
